Almost Made Me Cry
Friday is looking like a go weather and no-work wise for chasing some carp around with a big flimsy stick. I was going through and watching some YouTube videos to get pumped up when I ran into one of my favorites from this summer. It literally almost made me cry. Why they gotta do that to a grown man? Aint right.

Will made another one this summer that was even better but I can't remember where to find it.
ReplyDeleteMan, this and JoePa in one week DOES make you cry.
ReplyDeleteSo, both the South Platte and the L.A. River are supposed to be getting help from the feds through this program:
www.urbanwaters.gov/pdf/denver.pdf
We'll see what happens.
Jim,
ReplyDeleteI hadn't seen that. Very interesting. Looks like the Greenway foundation will be heavily involved and that is a very good thing as far as I know. A very good thing.
McTage,
ReplyDeleteLate to this one. Some of the scenes looked my Boise R., which though does not have carp in town except as escapees from warm water ponds. We have our problems but also a nice urban fishery. Perhaps, as a wordsmith that you are, you submitted an article to one of the fishing magazines? I'd say that would help raise awareness. And, since I subscribe to so many I'd probably see it. (Though I find myself wishing they'd do far more carp stuff.) I'd fish it, if I could.

Gregg - You want to see what a real wordsmith is cruise on over to Myseries Internal at http://mysteriesinternal.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteI suspect that many of our Urban rivers bare some resemblence. Much of what you describe about the Boise could drop right into the DSP.
Mctage,
ReplyDeleteI've come across her writings quite by accident now and then. You are so correct, what a superlative blog!
